In the distance to the northwest, you see Mount Kephart, Mount Guyot, Old Black, Inadu Knob, Sunup Knob, Mount Cammerer, Rich Mountain, Spring Mountain, Camp Creek Bald, Big Bald & Little Bald on the North Carolina/Tennessee line. Mount Kephart to Mount Cammerer are in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Looking southeast, Pinnacle & Graybeard Mountain dominate the view. I-40 runs between Lookout Mountain and Lakey Knob. I-26 is just the other side of Tryon Peak. In the distance and far to the south, Hogback Mountain is in South Carolina.
From the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center, you can see mountains not only in North Carolina but mountains on the North Carolina/Tennessee line to the north & Hogback Mountain in South Caroline to the south.
